I made a template of the hole out of wood and then I fabricated and wrapped a 3/8 tube around it to get the shape of the hole and then I welded the trim ring to the body and ground the weld to a radius that flows up. Took some time but unfortunately there wasn't something I could purchase...
Looking for a 1968-69 charger parking light assembly, housing or lens. These are the lights in the front lower valence to clarify. PM me if you think you might have one or a pair. Thank you!
Thank you! I am not sure why I was thinking the valence lights were fog lights ha! No idea why I didn't assume that's what they were. Are the front valence lights typically amber or clear?
Your weren't a downer, its the truth there is a lot of misc. wires/sensors. Correct me if I wrong but if i pull the pin that sends the signal, wouldn't the warning permanently stay on? I thought that's how it worked with the warning lights if any of the signal wires were cut its default was to...
Completely rewiring my 1968 charger with a harness from a 2012 srt8. Did the 1968 charger have any turn signal lights in the front of the car other than the hood turn signal lights? Did the side marker lights blink or anything? For the rear I am assuming only the rear tail lights blinked. Thanks!
The only problem is I have already modified the entire car and cut holes to fit the stock wiring harness. The car runs and the gauges work its just the warning lights I want gone. I've spent plenty of time fabricating the 2012 instrument cluster into the 68 dash I would rather not try to do it...
I am working on putting a 6.4 Hemi from a 2012 challenger srt8 into my 68 charger. In addition to the engine trans, i am installing the entire wiring harness because i am using the 2012 shifter, pedal, steering column and gauge cluster. Along with the complete harness i have ABS, Traction...
I have a Brand New Ohm converter I purchased that I didn't end up using and is too late to return. The unit converts the fuel sending unit ohm output to any output required for a new fuel gage. Pretty much allows you to use any gage with any fuel sending unit. The unit calibrates the gage at...
I haven't quite gotten that far yet. I am not sure if I will need to use the wheel speed sensors or if the transmission is controlled by an internal speed sensor.
I converted the entire 2012 srt8 stock wiring harness into the 68 charger. Everything I am using is directly from that harness. Everything I don't need I am getting rid of.
I bought my 392 Hemi from Cleveland Power and Performance in Ohio. They buy wrecked challengers, chargers, etc. and tear the entire drivetrain out, Engine, trans, gauges, wiring harness, fuel tank, brake pedal, gas pedal and put it all on a pallet and sell it as a running motor. It was about...
Cheers from Buffalo NY. I've been crazy about Mopars as long as i can remember. Finally had the opportunity to purchase a 1968 Charger a few years ago when i was 25 been working at it ever since. Had the crazy idea to attempt the 392 hemi swap along with trans, and gauge cluster out of a 2012...
