69 RR 383. At idle im at around 12.2. When I up the RPM I go to 12.4. I changed out the voltage regulator and no change. Brought the RR to Autozone and they tested the alternator. They said the internal voltage regulator in the alternator failed and I need a new alternator. Do 1969...
No. After driving more It appears that the noise only occurs when I push hard on the gas pedal and down past 3/4 and to the floor. It even did it in 3rd gear at around 45 to 50. When I gradually push the gas pedal down even at 70 mph it didn't make the noise.
Tightened everything and still makes a metal rattle clanking noise only in 4th gear and once i hit 65. Drives perfect unless i drive on the freeway but want to fux the issue. I recorded the noise. Any thoughts. Thanks

Maybe someone can help me solve my problem. Just installed my 383 after being rebuilt. Now when accelerating at 65mph a metal clanking/rattle noise appears from under the car near my feet. No noise appears when running through all the gears and accelerating below this speed. Any thoughts on what...
