Just wondering what the stamped numbers on the side of the case mean. It's a 727 in my 73 Dart Sport.
The number sequence is: P4130705 6152 2176.
Thanks,
Bill
I never had the heads off so I can't say what the bore is. this is a steel crank. I have someone coming by this weekend to pick it up.
If that falls through, I will get back to you.
Hey Greg,
I bought the motor off a good racer friend who retired from racing. This was his backup motor for his GTX.
Motor is not stuck but I have never heard it run since I never saw it in a car.
My number is 215 692-3252
Thanks,
Bill
I don't see me using this motor anytime soon so maybe someone else can put it to good use.
As stated, this is a 440 motor (7-22-70 casting date) with steel crank and 906 heads. This motor was originally purchased as a backup race motor and will need to be gone through before service.
Stock...
Wow, you have good peeps......I did not see that until I hit with wire brush......yes....It is a 5.
And there is also a "C" in the lower right corner of the pad that came up under the wheel.
