I'd check the harmonic dampener whilst you're at it.
The elastomeric binding could have failed allowing the outer ring to move in relation to the hub.
Also a breaker bar and socket on the dampener bolt and dist cap off turn the crank CCW see if rotor moves.
If you haven't changed rocker cover...
The Devil being in details to expand on BBD's post.
The machine shop what did the work do Mopars?
They install and burnish the oil pump shaft bushing?
What about the cam bearings?
Oil holes lined up and bearing surfaces burnished?
Unles there's been serious improvement stay away from Mopar...
My 1964 Plymouth has all of 35 amps alternator output, wasn't much optional electrics back then.
Mopar started filling the bulkhead connector cavities with grease to fight corrosion that caused all sorts of electrical gremlins.
Later they went with continuous wiring harnesses.
Late to the party.
I got Wheel Vintique repo 15x7 4"bs cop wheels with 225R70x15 (Diplomat cop size) on my 1964 Sport Fury no problem.
I had the sidewall touch the fender flange with 275R60x15 on 8" Ramcharger wheels, 4.25"bs.
I bought WV 15x8 cop wheels with the 4.5"bs and have Yokohama...
Blue Streak used to make a high performance cap you could buy from Rockauto.
I look for brass inserts and ridges around the inside to make it harder to carbon track. Also a vent.
I got one old cap sitting around with the Forward Motion icon cast on the top for decoration.
Want a curse worthy project, water pump and hose replacement on my 1997 Jeep GC.
For RB plug changes I have an offset box wrench I use on the end of a plug socket to get at drivers side.
Yanking a stocker with iron manifold out or off the floor to an engine stand I use a home made carb plate.
Anything else the head bolt bosses.
BTW measure the opening of the chain hook on your lifting device, if it starts to spread replace it.
Worked at a heavy equipment parts warehouse, we used...
2000 I did my 64 Sport Fury with a 66 Dodge Coronet wagon axle.
New 10x2 1/2 Drums shoes etc.
For springs I found a good set of GTX that I used with the 64 main ply.
Now prices of used rust balls thru the roof don't know what I'd do.
Had to do a steering box change to satisfy the Chrysler dealer inspection mechanic on a back lot 1970 Challenger RT with a New Yorker 440 transplant.
Took it back and it still failed, returning to my garage a buddy noticed drivers side wheel moving back and forth as I pulled in. Lower control...
Learned about axle spacer buttons the hard way when the seals on the tapered axle in my 1964 Plymouth convertible went away.
Replaced the seals and used a straightened coat hanger to stick the spacer in the cross shaft.
Bought the rear supposedly set up by a well known Wrightsville speed shop...
Buy yourself a cheap bubble balancer for use with unmounted/mounted wheels to check balance.
Make sure the tire tech has the balancer set for lowest practicable OZ per weight possible.
Rule of thumb, lower amt of balance weights better quality of tire.
Manual transmission Max Wedge cars used a 3spd because the T10 used in 361 cars couldn't take the torque.
Hemmings says the A-833 introed in 1964, I thought it was 1965.
They had the companion flange tailshaft so I might be wrong as 65 A727s had a slip yoke setup.
Anybody got a Ram with the Sno-Fighter(?) option to compare the idler pulley layout with?
Could be someone dumped the 383 in w/o too much investment to drive to the dealer for a trade in or sell outright.
