Welcome from Southern CA, nice hemi there.
We're all sick around here, but nobody wants the cure !!
More fun that way.
Good luck with the rest of your project, and drive the heck out of it.
Hello:
Saw this AD when I came in to work this morning, thought someone might be interested.
This is the same place I bought my car from, Roseville Mopars, MI, and it's a top notch restoration shop / dealer.
For the price listed, looks like a good turn-key deal.
I've been in this shop and they...
Welcome from Southern CA !!
Nice looking ride there, looks like you can drive the heck out of it right now.
Good luck with all the minor fix-it projects.
Great group of guys and gals here to help out when needed.
That's just awesome RC !!
I'd be in there for hours, what a legend Don Garlits is in the racing world.
And looking at all those engines is a tour through history.
I've got it on the list now, need to visit FL soon.
Thanks for sharing all those great PIC's for us.
Well done Don, you've helped me over the years also.
Although it might have been under the radar reading your posts and gaining your insights and knowledge.
Can't thank you enough too.
My ride is better with some of your info in it !!
Welcome from Southern CA Ross:
Sorry to hear about your brother, and what a great tribute to him by getting his car back on the road again.
This site has an incredible talent level, and you'll find great guys and gals willing to help out along the way if you get stuck.
If you have PIC's of the...
Kim:
Get well soon.
We keep getting knocked down as we get older and that sucks.
That's a tough surgery you had, glad you're on the mend and on the way back to Moparring.
There was the old El Toro Marine Air Base in Tustin, CA, right down the street from my house.
It was shut down in 1999.
My house was right under the flight path, and everyday I couldn't wait to get home,
open a beer, and watch the air show.
Absolutely awesome.
We went to the base every year for...
Welcome from Southern CA.
No Cover, in the garage, California duster before I drive it.
I also use Jescar Power Lock Plus Synthetic Polymer Sealant, gives a great shine and very durable.
Dom:
Welcome from Southern CA, nice Nova there.
Hopefully you'll get that GTX where you want it and then you can drive the heck out of it.
And yes, B-Body Projects can empty the wallet a bit, but all worth it in the end.
Good luck with your project.
Welcome from Southern CA from another Bob.
Great looking RR there, always love Orange.
Looks like a fun project, hope you can find the time with all the grand kids to work on it !!
Maybe they can help Grandpa and Grandma out a little.
Good luck, and thanks for all your service to the USA !!
Yes, the flip lid has the thin rubber gasket that seals on the entrance to the fill tube, spring loaded.
The seal that's cracking is the large one under the flip top, mounts under the
sheet metal bracket and around the fill tube and the Bezel seals against it too.
PIC is my old rubber seal that...
Yes, leaked bad when I was filling the tank, in between the cover and down the side of the quarter panel.
I looked at the seal and noticed it was cracked in half again, and little pieces stuck around the bracket.
2nd time this has happened to me.
Keep an eye on your seal, if it's like mine...
I guess the technical name is "Donut Derelicts" in HB, but we just called it Donut Shop.
I've been going there for years with my '66 GTO, (sold now), and my current '67 GTX.
I'm a bigger fan of Cars and Coffee in San Clemente because I'm a Ferrari guy, always have been, and they always come...
