Again thanks for the great info. Given the info provided then I presume the internal gears/points are failing as the motor is not cutting power internally. I will install low amp breaker to see if this will cut power appropriately until I am able to rebuild/replace motor.

Not to take over this thread but am curious as the Mopar licensed proform (mini denso) I just installed on my 440 4 speed doesn’t match the bell housing. Wondering if this is due to the starter application being for A, B, & RB engines or because it’s a manual transmission? I haven’t seen this...

Good idea I’m thinking this could easily be my issue given the age of the lines. Will likely begin to change brake lines. Have yet to isolate the issue in the front or rear. My gut tells me to start with the longest line being the main master to rear wheels. I appreciate the information. Thank you

My thoughts exactly. Feels like it seats properly otherwise. Does say it fits A engines: 273/318/340/360 And B/RB engines: 361/383/400/413/426/440 Could this possibly explain?

I read about this briefly but my understanding is the one offered by 440 source was for auto trans only. Haven’t found a manual trans one anywhere at this time. Shield would be nice.
