I've not really posted much here, but I put my 'sunroof' up yesterday. Then I realized I had no pictures with the top up. So, here we are.
Kinda ironic, but in NC this top goes up in the summertime. Fall & Winter? Yup, the top comes down.
How classic is this pic? Awesome!
I have very similar memories from just up the road. We'd vacation in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Always in the station wagon.
It began with plastic car models. Then Hot Wheels jumped in. Then, the heavens opened up, and I got my first slot car set. I was hooked and in love. There were even a couple of hobby stores near us that had the big tracks. So cool!
Q: What could possibly be better than this? A: Nitro! My Hot...
So, a couple of pics of the new motor. I've gone to the Holly Sniper II. My first experience with bolt-on EFI.
My question(s): Shouldn't it start the same (like an OEM EFI) every time? Should there ever be a difference in starting it from a warm motor vs. a cold one?
I'm not the mechanic on...
Well, it's mine for a while now. Kidding, actually. But as always, I ended up doing a lot more than originally planned. One 'before' pic and some progress pics of just the motor, a 440.
Other than what you can see in the pics, it also has a Howards Rattler hydraulic cam & lifters, a Holley...
I'm in the final stages of a build. Drive the damn car. Get in it, start it and hammer the gas pedal. More people here seem to be more 'constipated' over the build than actually driving the car. What a shame.
Hello. I'm just finishing on a 440 build for my '64 Polara. The only good solution I found for headers (long tube) was TTI. Very knowledgeable & professional folks. They just didn't have any available for 2 to 3 months. Not inexpensive either. And/or a high cost per each additional horsepower. I...
WTB - A hood for a 1964 Polara 500. A hood with a single wide hood scoop? Even better. Also, just the single wide hood scoop that I can add that to the 'regular' hood I find. Not interested in, 1) cheap re pops or fiberglass. Or 2) All dented up or rusted out stuff. Surface rust is okay.
What...
Does the math, really the dollars, make the decision for you? I know, dumb question. Any new Mopar I'd want is north of $100K. For perspective & comparison's sake, this is not my primary car or mode of transportation. Nor would the brand new $100K '+' car be.
But this was my logic. I decided...
