68-70 B body: What part is this called?

AMD calls it a front leaf spring mount.

    68-70 Charger Rocker won’t align

I've got an AMD inner/outer rocker pair in my basement. Just checked and they fit up about the same out of the box.

    68-70 Charger Rocker won’t align

Looks like some extra spring-back on the outer stamping to me. Nothing a little oomph and some clamps can't fix.

WTB Needing 1967 Coronet Quarter Panels

You might get really lucky and find some used ones local. If not, Joe Phillips Restoration can had fab full skins that are *really* nice. Joe can make the drop offs too. The patch panels for sale online are all hot garbage, don't bother. Good luck with your search.

    Cowel rust

Just fixing what is in the pictures the right way would be a huge project costing 1000s. If there are rust holes that big in the cowl, I would be amazed if there aren't serious rust issues elsewhere. As somebody already posted, rust is like an iceberg. You only see the tip. I would say your...

1968 coronet.. can it be saved?

I don't see anything on that car that doesn't need to be replaced. Could it be saved? Sure, if time and money are no object. Is it worth saving? Only you can answer that. But it will take years of your life and a lot of money to do it. And being a garden variety 318, the finished product...

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

New hinge pillar and side panel from AMD ready to weld. The side panel from AMD is slightly different than my rusty original... I'm guessing because my car is a convertible. It still fits nicely, but I had to cut about an inch and a half off the bottom. The bottom window is bigger in the...

    1971 Roadrunner and a 1968 GTO

Very cool. My 1st car was a 68 Goat. Brings back some memories. Both cars look awesome.

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

Any time I start feeling disappointed in how my welds look, I check out these beauties from the factory and instantly feel better.

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

Got my new 1/4 skins from Joe Phillips Restorations. They look really nice! Great guy to work with too. !

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

Made a little patch for the LH windshield frame. PITA matching 3 surfaces coming together. Didn't bother grinding down all the weld on the inside. Will be impossible to see once I weld the outer panel back on. I figure a little extra strength can't hurt.

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

Finished repairing the front of the LH outer rocker panel. It was paper thin under the hinge pillar, and completely gone at the leading edge and underneath where the fender bolts up. I fabbed up 3 patches. Would have been easier to make one big one in hindsight.

    '67 Coronet R/T Convertible Revival

Finally, some good news. The rocker panels are perfectly level left to right. At least within the precision I can measure. No body twist to deal with!

Is this original rear glass “clear” or “tinted”?

Looks tinted to me in that picture.

Why no Plymouth version of the Charger?

This has puzzled me for a while... Pretty much any classic Dodge car you can think of has a Plymouth counterpart, and vice versa. Roadrunner <=> Superbee, GTX <==> R/T, 'Cuda <==> Challenger R/T, etc. The glaring exception seems to be the Charger. Why no Plymouth B-body fastback to...

    Patch panels for amateurs?

22ga is a little easier to form than 18ga, but MUCH harder to weld without warping or burning thru... at least for me.

    Patch panels for amateurs?

The hardware and box stores only sell 22 and 16 gauge, at least around me. You will want 18 or 19 gauge for body panels. There is a steel supply in town that sells 4' x 8' sheets reasonable. Or old panels if you have some. Hammer, dolly, and maybe a vice if you need a bend should do for...

    440 short block

Is the stroke on #5 and #7 longer? That would seem to confirm one journal was ground with an offset. Definitely an issue, whatever the cause.
