You can always stroke it to a 390..just like an LA 318!! The poly 318 makes about 40 more foot pounds of torque than the LA does in stock form....

Neither!! I say let them wonder about it. If anything, I'd put 383 emblems on it --if I was going to use emblems. A local guy has a '73 Rallye Challenger with 340 4 barrel emblems on the hood (as factory appearance). Under the hood lurks a 572 cubic inch HEMI putting out around 1200 hp.

Yes..nothing wrong with that at all. I've seen people have to do this because of their current dash being rusted out. Way easier to replace the dash frame than to mess with repairing an old one.
