Any good ideas on how to reduce weight on a '65 Plymouth? I am wanting to swap for a '65 Satellite. It was a drag project that someone started years ago and never finished. It has plexi windows, gutted interior, and I believe everything else is steel.
I think that there are fiberglass hoods...
Neither!! I say let them wonder about it. If anything, I'd put 383 emblems on it --if I was going to use emblems.
A local guy has a '73 Rallye Challenger with 340 4 barrel emblems on the hood (as factory appearance). Under the hood lurks a 572 cubic inch HEMI putting out around 1200 hp.
I'm going against the grain here but....360. The 360 will mate up to your current trans and be pretty much a bolt in. Get a 360 to 904 flexplate (B&M makes it) and roll with it. Since you already have a small block, many of the items will carry over- if you happen to need anything. The small...
That's just ignorant. This car is beautiful. Please post pics of your show car as we'd love to see it.
To the op...If I had the funds, I'd be getting this one. Nice!

There were only 1,335 N code (383 Hi-po) 4 speed Chargers made in '70. That would definetly be a car to fix.
+1 to all the rusty areas mentioned. The dutchman area on these cars are likely place for rust to camp out!! But of course mine is...
Depending on the car and how it is setup. I can appreciate both really. I do like manual steering for drag use but can learn to appreciate power steering on a manual transmission car!
My power steering is really nice on my heavy C-body!
There is pro and con to each choice. Manual...

It's not a factory FM3 pink car but I really like it. 4 speed car too! It's priced at $31,900 and I feel that is a little on the expensive side. I don't have the funding now but will be looking at '70 Bee's within the next month or so...
