One to many spin and tire shake on the sprag

You have likely already drilled a hole in the back of the case to feed oil returning from the cooler directly into the sprag? I know that you are extremely knowledgable and experienced with the 727 and the rest of your machinery. Well done.

REBUILT 727 HARSH SHIFT INTO REVERSE ONLY

Perhaps the low/reverse apply servo is sticking a bit and hits hard when it breaks free under higher fluide pressure in reverse?

Get rid of the headers, right?

Me thinks long tube headers of the correct dia. give a substatial torque increase and especially at the bottom end where you need it most. That said.....they are usually a pain in the *** in several ways.

    KB 107.040 pistons

Its all b.s. . They claimed the pistons were delivered directly to a resident, which they were not. I complained and they responded claiming they were delivered to the wrong address and that they would investigate and give me a refund immediatly. They are clearly lying to you,me,and probably...

Oil on intake mating surface- is this normal?

Probably try some thicker gaskets with some good fuel and oil resistant sealer on both sides of everything to hopefully seal it up without machine work. Fiber gaskets should compress some to fill a slightly uneven gap.

Fuel Pump Saga Continues - I Am At a Loss!

Hi volume fuel pumps often have a much stiffer return spring which can and will wear the stock pump pushrod out very quickly and/or the lobe on the cam.

    440 performance

Sorry to say that your cam is too big for your compression ratio. It has quite a bit of overlap period [where both valves are open] which is causing very low cylinder pressure. Thats why it has barely more low rpm torque than the 318 had. The 516 heads are the way to go for you as you need every...

    Loctite on header bolts?

Even lock washers fail where heat is present. Possibly star washers could work as they bite into the mettal on both sides? Studs with their fine threads seem to work a bit better than bolts but still need re torqed now and then.
