A friend of mine is looking at an A12 car. All numbers look good, engine block good, 4 speed Dana. He says he did not see the torque boxes. Any ideas??

Well I had a mother of a time getting these carbs right. Drilled out the idle screws on the end carbs and finally got the mixture right. Then I had a slight vacuum leak, which turned out to be at the base plates. Problem now is that the car was laid up for a year and a half. I lost two close...

I checked the manifold and carbs, they are fine. I suspect the booster though.

Does the vin on the block look a little suspect?

Well I guess I will start with the float, then add some timing, then check for a leak. What a pain!!

440 six pack starts right up, idles great but has been stalling on hard braking. Im guessing float height or vacuum loss from power booster. What do you guys think? Mild motor .528 cam, 4 speed, 3:54 around 500HP.

Most 915 heads with 1.60 exhaust are cast with a "K" and 1.74 are cast with an "L". You just might have the 1.74 exhaust in them

If you go to a 1.74 exhaust valve you have to open the throats up otherwise its useless!

Im curious, why wont the retainers work?

Picked up an NOS 1973 426 Hemi RacerBrown camshaft SSH-44, hydraulic lifters, valve springs and retainers. Can I use the lifters, springs and retainers in a 440. I have an early SSH-44 for the 440.

I ran them for years with closed chamber and milled domes.
