    Fuel return line plumbing.

Hi folks. Has anyone plumbed their return into the fuel fill pipe? It's a lot easier than dropping the tank to drill the sending unit and I won't have access to a garage soon. I'm a little worried about a siphoning effect while filling the tank too. Thanks, Wally

63 Plymouth slant. Starter spinning at random.

Well I took the solenoid apart and the spring is in one piece and it looked clean inside so I buffed the contacts and bolted it together. Then I took the cover off of the relay and it was like new inside and had tension on the contact spring. I ran the car for 15 minutes and it worked fine...

63 Plymouth slant. Starter spinning at random.

Thanks again Bob. I'm tempted to drill out the rivets and check it out. Should be simple enough!

63 Plymouth slant. Starter spinning at random.

Thanks Bob. This isn't the type of solenoid that moves the starter gear fork if that's what you're thinking. It's basically like an old Ford solenoid that bolts to the fender only this one bolts to the top of the starter.

63 Plymouth slant. Starter spinning at random.

Hi folks. Bit of a weird one lol. I started my engine to let it warmĥ up and all was fine. But a couple of minutes later I heard a whining noise slowly ramping up. Ends up it was the starter. Not enough to engage the ring gear but ended up sounding like she was ready to blow!!! I shut the key...

Welch plug in rear of slant six.

It totally helps thank you. It's got to be the cam plug. Makes me feel much better since I didn't want to have a rusty frost plug in there lol. Looks like no coolant plugs in the back at all then. Thanks again!

Welch plug in rear of slant six.

This is true, Idon'tknow. It's off center to the right. I had to put it together anyway because the temp was dropping to finger freezing low's lol. I'll deal with the consequences if I have to. Thanks anyway.

Welch plug in rear of slant six.

Hi folks. Is the 2 1/8" plug in the rear of the slant for the cam or for coolant? Thanks.

    Por15 fuel tank sealer.

Hi all. Has anyone used their leftover Por15 fuel tank sealer on the outside of the tank too?. If so, how is it holding up?. This stuff is pricey so no sense wasting it right? Thanks

Can't find brass synchro rings so looking for additive.

Unfortunately my transmission doesn't have that type of synchro. It's just a regular slider and brass ring synchro. That's why I'm having such a hard time finding them. It's an odd duck.

Can't find brass synchro rings so looking for additive.

I did think abou that but they are very fine grooves. I'm going to put it back together today so I'll try and do some file "machining" of the synchros lol. Take off some rough edges so to speak.

Can't find brass synchro rings so looking for additive.

No. Just very stiff unless I slow down to maybe 10 mph, then it's not as bad.

Can't find brass synchro rings so looking for additive.

Hey folks. I can't find brass synchro ings for my A903 anywhere so I'm going to have to reassemble it as is. So what kind of additive can I use to give the old rings a little more friction. I'm running atf now but it's still clashing going from first to second And very hard to downshift from...

    A903 synchro problem

Hi folks. Just pulled the trans out of my 63 Savoy because of 2nd gear trouble. It's supposed to be an A903 trans and it looks like it is but the 2-3 synchro is not what it's supposed to be. The A903 and A745 had a ring and pin type synchro. Mine has a regular brass ring type synchro assembly in...
