72 440 Road Runner. Backfire/Popping only when foot is off gas and coasting.

So it’s been driving great and I took it on a longer than normal drive today. It started to backfire but only when I wasn’t accelerating. Typically just some small popping with the occasional louder pop. Any idea where I should start? I just have never experienced a car backfire only when...

A friend just bought a 66 Charger. Any idea what these interior things are? Also glove box won’t open.

So there’s a red light under the steering wheel. And a switch with a light in the center console. Can’t figure out what either of them do… Also any tips on getting the glove box open? The key just spins the lock. I’d imagine that heater you see on the floor can just pop back in but I bet I’m...

What's it Worth Before I scrap this….is a broken AC system worth anything out of a 1969 Plymouth Satellite 318

Thanks! Any idea what’s a fair price? Like $100-$200? Not trying to rip any one off and I’m also not trying to waste my time.

What's it Worth Before I scrap this….is a broken AC system worth anything out of a 1969 Plymouth Satellite 318

Fins are bent to all heck. No idea what needs to be done to it. Just wasn’t sure if it had any value more than scrap metal.

Trying to locate the right size Charger and Arrow emblem that go on the upper quarter sides of my 1966 Dodge Charger. Anyone know the part numbers?

So whenever this cat was repainted last. Someone took these emblems off, filled the holes and then never put them back on. Trying to locate the correct reproduction parts to put back on. I can’t seem to find what size of part number for both parts might be and wasn’t sure if any Charger or Arrow...

Looking at a car with spiderweb paint. It doesn’t bother me but will it get much worse?

I’m going to cruise with it and not worry about much else. It won’t be garaged or covered (except in the winter). Will the paint for the most part stay like this or if I keep it out in the sun and elements is it going to start peeling and cracking quickly? I realize the sun will hurt it no...

Rebuilding 1968 440. What would you all say is a quote I should expect from the machine shop with the list of items I gave them? Hoping under $5k

Just thought I’d pick your brain. This is my first time using a local machine shop. Not many in the area I live in so likely can only get one or two quotes. Was hoping to keep it under $5k but I know prices are all over the place.

Can’t get new reverse light bulb back in socket on my 1972 Plymouth Satellite

Thanks! I didn’t realize that…any idea roughly where under the car that might be? It’ll work to just have the key on run? It doesn’t need to actually be running?

Can’t get new reverse light bulb back in socket on my 1972 Plymouth Satellite

Weird I can’t get the reverse lights to work at all now. I figured my multimeter would read something when touching the contacts but it doesn’t. My eyes aren’t what they used to be but do any of these fuses look blown to you? One pic with flash on and one with off. Neither came out great.

Can’t get new reverse light bulb back in socket on my 1972 Plymouth Satellite

Well all, now I can’t even get either of the reverse lights to light up when pressing the lamp bulb against the contact. Lamp bulbs won’t stay in either. I think the sockets are just too far gone and rusted. How often am I backing up any way? I was thinking of trying a few different brands of...

Can’t get new reverse light bulb back in socket on my 1972 Plymouth Satellite

So the old bulbs were rusted and not working. I got them out, cleaned the contacts and when the new bulb touches the contact it now lights up just fine. However even with bulb grease I can’t get the bulb to stay in. They just keep popping out. Almost like they aren’t in all the way but I’ve...

Did B Bodies use different steel thickness over the years? For instance my 72 satellite seems to have thinner steel than my 67 satellite.

Maybe it’s all in my mind by my 1972 has a much more tinny sound than my 1967. The 1967 doesn’t sound like a tin can when I shut the door, trunk or hood. Did they use different steel throughout the mopar years or possibly a different gauge?

Replacing reverse light sockets. Any idea which Dorman part is correct for my 72 Satellite? Rockauto only has brake light sockets.

So I believe the bulbs for the reverse lights are 1156 and brake lights are 1157 but on rockauto the only socket I see is listed as brake light. Any idea which Dorman part is right for the reverse lights? Unfortunately both my sockets have rusted out due to trapped water.

New fuel pump leaking after sitting all winter. Could the seal have dried out?

Maybe a dumb question but I put a new fuel pump on my 67 satellite last September. Drove it a bunch until putting it away for the winter with no issue. Started it for the first time yesterday after about 4 months and was leaking gas pretty bad from the fuel pump. Looked like it was leaking where...

Dash cap vs. Dash cover differences for my '69 Satellite

Is there a specific brand you went with? What had me wanting to do this is I saw another mopar that did just the dash cover and it looked 1000x nicer than my cracked dash. I couldn’t even tell that it was just a cover until I had been looking at it for 10 minutes

Dash cap vs. Dash cover differences for my '69 Satellite

Is there a site/brand people use for replacement pads? My concern is that the one video on YouTube I found made it seem like I need to essentially need to remove the entire front of the car, glass, and unhook the instrument cluster, radio, heat, etc… just to get the dash out.

Dash cap vs. Dash cover differences for my '69 Satellite

A replacement pad means I need to take out the entire dash right? From the videos I watched it looks like I need to remove the windshield to get to the dashboard and that just seems like a lot of risk for glass this old but maybe I’m overthinking.

Dash cap vs. Dash cover differences for my '69 Satellite

My current dash had lots of cracks in it. Until I can replace it I’m going to use a cover. When I googled it came back with two results…one for a cap and one for a cover (pictures below). Any idea what the differences are? Just what it covers...

WTB Looking for 1/18 Diecast model car of a Green 1971 or 1972 Roadrunner or GTX

Wanted to surprise a friend with a diecast replica of a car he just bought. I don’t think I’ll find the exact one but any sassy green 71-72 Plymouth satellite/roadrunner/GTX should do the trick

    Recommendations on car shipping/transport companies

So I found a car in California that I really like…of course I live in NY. I just wanted to see where I could get a few estimates on shipping costs. I’m not expecting it to be cheap but there are so many websites that I’m not even sure where to start. Any recommendations are appreciated! Thanks
