Can only speak for myself and over all these years and car(127)I have only had three that did not get completed by me. One of those has still never been completed.
Well Slawko is one of the very best out there. Just wander around any NHRA pit and ask the guys in Comp who they use. He is not a chevy guy he is a GREAT cylinder head guy
Just use a GOOD cylinder head guy. Why narrow it down to a niche group who only do one style head? FWIW we use Slawko for 99% of my stuff. only thing he never sees is basic rebuild of stock stuff. We also have a guy for Stocker heads.
Sac raceway has always had a non transferrable lease. Dave has not been doping well health wise and that got worse last year. So the decision was made to pull the plug on the racetrack. Why its been on a "countdown clock" for the last few years. Sonoma may as well be closed. I saw what 5 races...
If you think you have it bad back east come pout west and try and be a racer. I am lucky enough to have a world class facility miles from my house. Unfortunately its rarely used. My next option is 300 miles away. Either to the south or the west. After those three options its 600 for the next...
B1Mc head has a 2.400" intake valve. I have decided to stick with the originals. They are at Slawkos right now getting a tune up and new titanium valves.
Sure thing, nothing crazy for sure. 281/292 @.050, .800/.765" on a 115 lobe. Standard firing order. An older cam I had lying around that seems to work well with a B1 deal. Its apart right now, going to throw some compression and a bit more modern cam at it now. No crazy spring eater or pressures.
Long story kinda. But to sum it up it started life as Pro Stock truck and the class was killed not soon after. So the that body was removed(7/8 scale version) and a steel body was hung in its place a 2000 Dakota with vin etc. It has spent life on the street and alot of time on the ISCA show...
We work very hard to get the most out of a combination. This one still has room to go if I make no changes to the engine. Front shocks to eliminate bounce on landing and converter is WAY to tight. Also have another gearset for trans I may try with a 2.38 first. As well as some more tweaking on...
What would you like to know. Its pretty basic deal. A 540" low deck with B1 heads. the usual list of good parts 55mm cam, billet crank, GRP rods, CP pistons at 14.8-1 compression. B1 heads, T&D paired rockers, Manton pushrods, Isky lifters, non ported B1 intake and wither has a 4150 or 4500...
Very cool hotrod you have for sure. Like we discussed in the lanes mine has been a struggle of late. But we finally got it all ironed out and working well. So of course time to tear it apart and make it look as good as your ride does..I have been at this and around Mopars for a long time you...
Sorry gents I don't have many pictures of the car really as I have been concentrating on making it work well. We are now getting ready to tear it apart to bring the car up to the standard of the mechanicals. But I have a few

Depends on the car. I have had a LOT of cars over the years. Wheels like anything else can make a car look "dated" IMO. I think over the years I have had most everything out there. Here is what is on my 64 currently
