The original owner said he put a bigger stock radiator in it but I can't find a part # on it. On top is say AB and that is the only thing I can see. Any ideas on that?
Thanks for the info..... I will do the research on both Glen Ray and Wizard...... I don't like sitting in traffic watching the temp gauge creeping up.... big cooling is available just got to figure what meets my needs..... and I have needs..... :thumbsup:
I have been running the Polara Bear around on these hot days. Just idling around town doing errands it wants to run 195 to 200. I have an axillary fan set up and that brings it down to a bit over 180. I will be adding AC this winter so am thinking I need to get to a bigger Aluminum DeWitt's...
I have a reproduction tire changing decal for a 64 Polara and now realize I don't know what side of the trunk lid to mount it on. Not a big deal but thought someone here will know. Thanks, Marcus
Well got that job done..... did not take before pics but you can see some of the paint flaking in the picture in the trunk in the post above..... once you get the assembly off is is fairly simple after that. I stripped the old paint with the Super Clean below. I let it soak then wearing...
Success....... ok now to carefully strip the old paint off..... can't use anything abrasive..... got some stuff to spray on it...... thanks, 413..... :thumbsup:
well the getting started right away did not happen..... but now I am ready to get going...... now trying to figure out how to remove the tail lamp assembly.... is it all from inside the trunk?
There is a new spare tire in place and the original jack has been reconditioned and is in the trunk also. The portable power unit slides out thru a door on the side and runs there to power trailer. The foam is to deaden the sound.
I have decided to sell the Polara. The car has a Muscle Motors 505 engine with an Edlebrock 800 cfm carb on it. I have the build sheet and all the specs on the engine. The car and engine has maybe 1500 miles on it since it was rotisserie taken down to bare metal. Originally a California car...
The silver paint is coming off the plastic on my 64 Polara's backup light assemblies. I took the small 3/8" nuts off inside the trunk but it seems to be very firmly in place.... what other bolts or clips are holding these individual light assemblies in place? I ran searches on here but no...
