That's very cool! I live in the very south of Sweden so not that close, but I have been to the areas around Gothenburg along the coast, which are very beautiful. You should look into coming on the Swedish show "Allt för Sverige" and travel to Sweden to find your long lost relatives! :D
@The Rebel thank you for taking the time to look at the source material, really appreciate it. I had some time after work to go to the garage today so take some additional pictures. This time I included the sample called dark blue as you mentioned, but I do think it's too dark compared to the...
Sorry for the confusion, I was referring to your message in the thread you linked, in case I were to find a tag on the bottom of the carpet (haven't been able to look yet):
"
Thanks. MMC Detroit got back to me on the paper tag and said the same as you.
They say it's in their large reference...
Thanks also for sharing the hamtramck interior book. Ive seen it before, and it makes me a bit confused, since ACC has multiple blue colors available for the 69 charger as "blue" carpet. I wonder if its correct that there were variations, or if they've taken various blue colors from different...
Definitely agree that Shade 13 looks to be the closest, so I might get that one. It would be great, however, if I got a hold of someone who could share a photo of another C6D interior 69 charger, as I dont even know if the current carpet is an original color.
Thank you for your replies. Agreed that it's a shame that there aren't better replacements available.
I emailed PGClassic and got the following response (vans auto didn't even reply..):
"
we did have a few production runs where the top plates were warped like
bananas. We have fixed that issue...
Hi!
I'm looking to order a new carpet from ACC (RockAuto) for my 69 Charger as the current one is quite worn and miscolored. I am a bit confused, however, when it comes to which color blue is correct for my car. I unfortunately dont have a build sheet, but my fender tag says C6D which is simply...
I'm looking at buying a new console top plate for manual shifter for my upcoming tkx swap on my 69 Charger. I was recommended to change all three top plates of the console by Brewer performance, as it might look off to have one new and the rest worn original.
I wanted to check if anyone had any...
Thought I'd update the thread in case it would help someone else.
After your advise, I decided to disassemble my unit and try to fix it. I tapped out the rivets and got to work. Testing it with a multimeter made it quite clear that it was the connection between the wire windings and the...
Hey all,
I was curious about where others have taken their 12v keyed source from when making the ammeter to voltmeter conversion. I saw someone else taking power from where the condenser is connected on the cluster (the image from "OzCharger69":DIY voltmeter mod for 2nd gen Chargers - Page 5)...
@threewood Thank you for the response! That sounds promising, so am I understanding you correctly in that you basically used the cutters to form the part of the pin marked in red, so that it fit through the hole and then at the end, tapped it with a hammer to make it wider than the hole again...
Thank you for the replies! My oem unit doesn't look too bad, but it is oxidized and doesn't give the expected readings when measuring it, which I believe is why my dash lights aren't working.
You've encouraged me to maybe just try to fix the old one. Did you drill out the rivets and replace...
Hi,
I was curious to know people's experiences with the OER dimmer switch (part number MB16951). I recently ordered one from a supplier in Sweden and was quite dissapointed with the quality of the product. Firstly, there is a lot of play within the wheel itself, making it a bit wobbly and cheap...
Hi, I am lookng for a single Wheel vintiques Magnum 500 wheel in 15x10 with 5.5 backspace if anyone has one available.
It needs to be in new, or very good condition.
Thanks!
Hey @71Beeper that looks awesome! I like that the light seems to spread evenly. I saw in another post that you got them from superbrightleds. Are they the ba9s style?
I found these on their site, but they are stated as non-dimmable, are these the ones you are using?
BA9s LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED...
Okay excellent! I will also be doing an auto to tremec conversion so it sounds promising that I can make it work, even if it will take a bit of tinkering with the mounts. Thanks again for the help!
Hey, thanks for the reply! Yeah that makes sense, it seems like the oem type attaches to the shift linkage either by slip-in attachment (1970 only?) or two bolts. I guess the question I need to figure out then would be how the location of the shifter mount on the tremecs differ from the oem...
@Kern Dog I hope you don't mind me tagging you, but I found your great thread on TKO/TKX swaps and have started looking through the work you've done. Did you get your long shifter directly from the company you bought the TKO from and do you know if its using the same mount as the old pistol grip...
I was curious to see if anyone had mounted a 71-4 Bench B Body pistol grip shifter in their 68-70 console B-body and especially if it's mated to a tkx/tko
I'm planning on doing a tkx swap on my 69 Charger with Auto and console and I would like to get a pistol grip shifter when I do. I know that...
