my research indicated they were not long enough to fully open the throttle and engage the outboards. some say it will work, others swear its not enough cable to do the 6 pack job.

so for everyone around here, maybe it comes as no surprise, Imperial doesnt answer the phone and i am almost certain ill never see the new throttle cable i ordered 3 months ago.
Anyone know a better place to get a real correct length 6 pack throttle cable?
going to have to do this replacement on my 70 Charger. one got torn up. i think the existing one is the "flocked" but what i got from Classic shows its the normal rubber.
anyone know if the 70 charger seal has those tabs that prevent it from sliding in? i havent pulled the old one yet, but id...
you bought just the sure grip? or you bought the suregrip with ring and pinion, seals etc completely setup in a 3rd member and you just bolted that up?
ill give you a data point and you can use it or not. im in South Texas, someone didnt know what they were doing on the previous owners build, blew the rear end in my Charger. destroyed the ring and pinion, so everything got rebuilt. The sure-grip was fine and didnt need to be replaced.

yes, i have heard that question asked before, but its not nothing. basically, its the same break-in procedure, just without the oil change. New cars get test drove by folks and that is the heat up and cool down cycle. im not saying its exactly the same but it kinda is.
