    Windage Tray Question

Hey all, my oil pan gasket is leaking (Whew! not the main seal) so I'm changing it while the motor is in the car. Got the pan and windage tray off no problem but I think it will be a problem putting the pan back with the tray. Do I need the windage tray as well? If so, its going to be a PITA...

    6 Pack Air Cleaner

Hey all, anyone have any idea what this may have came off? Been gathering dust for years. Has some welding on the back part of it but it doesn't look like the usual 6 pack air cleaner. Its heavy, thick steel, no part numbers visible.

    Lucas Octane Booster

I've heard that this works ok as an octane booster but that it also provides some protection to valve seats on engines without hardened seats. Anyone else heard this? Not sure if my engine has hardened seats or not. Is there any merit in using any of the of-the-shelf lead substitutes?

    Another Oil / Zinc Question

I have been using ZDDPlus, same sort of thing I guess. Just not sure what the best "base" oil to use is as it sounds like the diesel 15W40 isn't a viable option.

    Engine Knocking and Dieseling

Well, I have the idle mixture screws adjusted as well as the throttle plates. Runs better now. I have the timing set at 8 BTDC, more than that and it knocks bad under load, less than that and it runs on when shut off still. Have to try some better fuel than the 91 octane that's the best...

    Another Oil / Zinc Question

Read a lot of info here wrt oil. I have been running diesel 15W40 with ZDDPlus but seems like the majority feel diesel oil is not the way to go with the detergents in it. VR1 seems like a good choice but can I just switch from 15W40 to the 10W30 VR1? Is the 20W50 VR1 too thick? 1969 426, stock...

    Engine Knocking and Dieseling

Hmmm...ok, so advance the timing to say 10 BTDC and how do you adjust the throttle plates?

    Engine Knocking and Dieseling

Hey all, having a problem with the engine running on and dieseling quite bad when the ignition is shut off. The car runs rich to begin with, idles fine at 800rpm. Aside from rebuilding and checking the adjustment on the carbs Im looking for some suggestions. Its a 1969 Hemi, all stock, dual...

    1969 Hemi Coronet

Hey all, just got myself my first hemi. Its a numbers matching, 4 speed, 3.54 Dana, 1969 Coronet RT. Love it! Have a few questions though... The driveshaft has an inertia ring on it but it is at the rear end not the transmission. Is it in backwards? Pulled a couple spark plugs to have a look...
