The proper term is "Lace-on" steering wheel covers.......Your best bet to find old styles and colors is to buy NOS by searching Ebay regularly.... I've scored a number of them for my trucks, but only have 'buckskin' colors.
I've seen the old ones offered in white and red, but didn't buy...

I use glass bead almost exclusively.
Once you try it, it's hard to give it up. I suppose there are media for different purposes, but bead in varying sizes seems best for me with all my small parts. I've even done little antique "Matchbox" cars with glass, and you can't tell I've been there...
I've had the same problem with my lowboy..........I just replaced it with a big upright 7 horse unit taking air from the top of the tank......Gonna try a Devilbiss water system and see what happens.......I expect it should be a lot better than what I had.......

I've always used flattening agent in a clearcoat for a good "eggshell" semi-gloss over my black base....I have one in the shop right now gettin' prepped for a big blackout job......Has a "sheen" unlike flat, and takes wax nicely......(but you need to be careful not to over-rub the black or buff...
When you reply to this post, you can add pics by scrolling down a little to the "manage attachments" box............click it, and you'll get a standard "browse" button where you can search your computer for the photos you want.....when done selecting, just click upload and wait for it to finish...
I love the front end.........The wing is a bit odd though............don't quite match the lines.......
I think this would look GREAT with a "Trans-Am" style spoiler.......But then it wouldn't be a Superbird concept..........Just a custom.........But I'd like it better.
