Why are there so many members on this early!?

I try to not fall asleep in the big chair before 8 pm and I am up by 4 AM. Early bird gets the worm but they taste like c***!

I am 77 and I have a slowly debilitating muscle disease. I lose muscle strength ever so gradually. If I move too quick and fall over backwards, I usually knock myself out. No drugs for such, only thing that helps is exercise. I don't have the strength to exercise as I would like. I still love...

The cost of a paint job.

Everything is relative in life. Most would agree a 71 Hemi Cuda deserves better than maybe a 65 slant Dart. A guy said he spent $60000 on his grandma's 63 Dart because he wanted to and could afford such.

The cost of a paint job.

When I mention metal can rust also from the inside, some people think I am crazy. DA that bare metal down good, and anywhere there is a pin hole, YOU better cut that out and weld in good metal, OR it will bubble in a couple of years. Above a ways! $7500 in materials! hahahahahaha Sorry!!!

I am so old and wore out, building anything is such a struggle. I have always done it all myself, 95% of it all. Common sense tells me to finish the two projects I have!

The cost of a paint job.

I have absolutely NO idea where people can come up with their personal total "costs" for materials? Really?? I have painted many many cars (MY cars) since the 70s. Some flawless, some just "drivers". Yes, there is a wide difference in costs of top line topcoats. Are the high $ ones needed...

What’s a phrase that your parents used years ago

Ma would say " makes my *** not want to stove good" when she was pissed off. Never knew exactly what it meant, just that things were not good!! But I am old, and she was old enough to have been m grandmother when I was born. Thats old. Old school saying, for sure!

Depends on the location, the price, and the build. A guy has to be able to get $25,000 for a car before he might find a guy to pay $35,000 for it. But yes, there are more buyers for that 68-70 than the 66-7 for sure.

I agree and someone should tell 99% of the listers of projects on FB Marketplace, especially, that their ask price is 3 times that of reality. I ever so often seen a project listed at pretty close to market value in this todays world. Then I see the $1000 car listed for $10,000 and then it is...

^^^^^So very true!!! The average hobby-ist looks for value per $ spent. The high end $$ Mecum/BJ guy has $ to toss out there for a toy he rarely uses because he also considers it an investment. The low $ guy can hardly afford inflation and groceries, much less a hobby car! The middle $ guy gets...

I do agree. All so true. 66-7 B bodies have always been soft, and maybe even softer today. I have always felt the early b bodies were strong, but we are aging out of those somewhat, 68-70 B bodies are a (sorta) rich man's toy today. There are reasons the A body segment grows stronger every...

I admit I spend most of my Mopar time over on FABO, and I have owned scattered over the decades, many 68-9 RoadRunnners, Bees, but I am priced out of that market, and have built several or so 66 Bel 1 cars. Love em, and I just found a Tx. roller to go see, typical Tx, rust, and complete right...

I have a 75 AMC Hornet. Years ago, it was an OKla. car, the owner swapped out the boogered dash (with vin) and added another one and did not change out the vin on dash or door post.. It sells to guy in Tx. that since it was out of state car, must take it to DPS guy to verify not stolen, and...

    Doing the upholstery yourself

Back in Mo. I had a friend that was a body man, in his little one car shop. All he did was classics and did great work. One at a time! One day he found an old machine and taught himself to do upholstery and door panels. Like you, he learned to do great work!!
