Opinions about working surface on workbench

X2 on the Formica. Mine's held up pretty well so far. Basically made the bench tops the same as kitchen counters. Glued the Formica with that nasty yellow contact cement & used a router w/ a laminate trimmer bit to run around the top to make a nice square edge (good for bending sheet metal...

    64 savoy pics

A long time ago I built a model of a Savoy I fell in love with from an article in an old Hot Rod. Funny thing is, the article photos were in B&W so I never knew what color the interior was. I figure it was probably red or that funky gold, but for some reason I pictured it blue - so that's the...

    Driving tips and tricks

When driving on a multi-lane highway, I never change lanes with another car abreast of me one lane over. Inevitably, the other guy will pick that exact moment to try to occupy the same space at the same time. I either speed up or back off. It avoids doing 'da bump'... Like you Pabster, I give...

    Drilling throttle plates?

I usually play with Holleys, so some of this may or may not apply... I think you're right about exposing the transfer slot. In general, if your idle speed screw is turned in too far (i.e. opening the primary throttle plates too much), you'll be past the idle circuit ports, so the mixture screws...
