most people punch with there fist. I would not recommend punching your 383, it might hurt your hand. If you want to make it go really fast and have a bunch of money you could invest in a 431 stroker kit and some aluminum heads and add an additional 600 cfm carb.

318's didn't have tensioners until the magnum series engines in the 90's and up. same for 360's and 239's. The magnums also have a roller cam and pedestal mount rockers, where the older LA engines have a flat tappet cam with rocker shafts.

I'm running a 431, 440 crank in a 383 .030 over block. 11:1 forged pistons, ported 906 heads with stock valve size, .580 lift solid flat tappet cam, 3/8 push rods, 440 source rockers, erson dual valve springs, dual 450 cfm holleys, hooker super comp fenderwell headers, and she is comfortable at...

The only pieces you will need is the front lower fender trim and the rear 1/4 panel trim. The upper 440 trim is the same as 330 trim. All that you would need to do is remove the lover part of the 440 trim and locate the front and rear end pieces.

You will need these, These are the front lower trim pieces for the 330 fender trim. If you want them, I'd be willing to do some swapping with you.

Looks 80's-90's retrofitted to me, but it looks like it was done tastefully.
