I noticed what I thought was excessive end play in my 8 3/4 rear, and noticed that this lock tab appears to be bent, maybe allowing the lock nut to loosen.
Anyone know what they are supposed to look like?
Is this one twisted?
If so, any advice to keep this from happening again...
A couple weeks ago we heard the pentastar was no more. But wait - there is a petition to bring it back.

Anyone here restored a grille like this?
I'd like mine to look like this pretty example right here.
Wondering what paint to use for the black and silver?
Also want to refresh the signal lights while I'm at it. Anyone know if that's the same color silver as the grille or not...
Rummaging through some pics today with my kids and I found a collection from when I went to the Street Machine Nationals - DuQuoin IL in 1990.
Here's a few from back in the day.
So I have a 71 with factory power disc / drum that I recently upgraded to Wilwood four-piston calipers up front.
Works OK and all - but still use lots of pedal pressure and not getting much 'stop'. Wilwood tells me it should be fine - and I am going to get an adjustable prop valve - but I'm...

I need to upgrade the rear wheels and tires to get more power to the street. I have about 600 HP / 600 Torque and am looking to upgrade size (probably to 295 --- 325 x15s on a 10 inch rim) but need some opinions on what people's experiences have been with different brands / tires.
I am...
No joke. One of a kind Exner concept car.
Too bad they didn't put it into production.
The XNR, named for the design chief himself, was built on a modified 106.5-inch Valiant chassis, with a dramatic, asymmetrical shape that polarized onlookers. A large, offset hood scoop led to an extended...

Hi all,
I have a 1971 GTX with factory front disc brakes. I am currently doing a conversion to Wilwood calipers / disc and hub setup. It does use the factory disc spindle - but I think I am losing my mind a bit because I cant remember if the factory setup had the caliper in the forward...
I'm reworking my wiring harness on a 1971 auto trans GTX and found that my trans connection had another wire that wasn't connected to anything.
Looks like from a wiring diagram that two of the 3 wires from the trans harness connect to the bulkhead connector. There is a third one that...
