Oh thank goodness I found this post! Finally got my 440 running the other day, no problem for days, top off yesterday, started today and almost immediately had antifreeze coming out the over flow. Thinking the worst head gasket, best would be stuck shut thermostat. So I should let it run and...
Any luck working this issue out? I have the same problem with my 68 charger. if I adjust the reverse switch the shifter knob doesn't pop up when in park. there seems to be to much slop coming from the transmission, because all my linkage is tight
So very sorry for your loss and thanks for sharing your pics. That is one sweet ride. I plan on leaving my 68 to my son when Im done with it. Enjoy it, Im sure every time you sit behind the wheel and start her up your dad smiles real big! :angel9:
@CHRG$PIT- Great job! I started my 68 resto about 6 months ago, several times already I have asked myself WTH did I get myself into!!! Did you do all the welding yourself? That is my biggest hurdle.
Thanks SGT Paul, that is the only pic I have at the moment, Im currently deployed to Bahrain. (Navy) So with lots of time on my hands and having a new toy I cant play with is frustrating! It is an automatic, and i have decoded the fender tag. I thought 8 3/4 rear end didnt have bolts on the back...
@ smyythe68- yes the switch was still in the car. As for other cool options.... not really sure.... do power windows and rear speakers count? I wish it had a Tic-toc tach :( but it doesnt!
@v-code- Ok you got me looking at pics of gold chargers....... I am now on the fence! I need to see one...
@V-Code, I would paint it gold if it was a #'s maching car, but its not so I'm going to paint it to match my 09 Charger R/T. Plus its only paint, I can always go back to gold down the road if I get tired of blk.

@Detmatt- Plan on going Blk on Blk w/ Red R/t stripes, a D440 HP w/727, swap front drums out w/ rotors, magnum 500 wheels.
@71Chally- found it on ebay and had to have it shipped from Iowa! Are you working on that 72 RR now?
