Yes, I think this can be the case. I will measure the A/F and CO tomorrow with hood open and with hood closed. I figure that would tell me if it runs rich. But I do think you are right.
When I bought this car it was pretty much butchered up in all areas. It had a ton of gremlins, all sorts of...
@mopar 3 B: I think you are right, I have changed the rad to a more effective 3 row core, see my previous post. So the under hood temp is probably higher than what I had last year with the old stock rad. Question then is if I could solve this by tuning the carb a little?
Interesting theory. I have run this setup for years with no issues. The only thing I changed this year was the radiator. I got my 2898045 22" stock rad rebuilt by Glen Ray. I now have a 3 row core instead of OEM 2 row. I was running the 22" rad before too but perhaps the new 3 core rad transfers...
Lately my Charger has developed an issue when sitting at idle with engine fully warmed. The problem first appeared at a cruise night a few weeks back. The car started to bog out at idle, and eventually stalled. No issues what so ever to start again. It did this 10 times or so in 5 hours so...
Hi!
I am about to install a new engine oil dipstick w tube. Got a new tube and dipstick from MegaParts, just wondering if anyone in here knows if the parts look "factory correct" (I know the handle should be black but that is a minor thing). My car is a 68 Charger with a 440 and a stock 402 oil...
Thanks for the pic and info! Appreciate it! It confirms what I suspected actually. The shorter wire do not need the adjuster. When thinking of it I don't understand why they made these wires in different lengths??
Agree, ACC was a good fit in my '68 Charger. Very good customer support too. I specifically asked them to leave extra material on the sides so I can trim it to fit exactly!
And about PG. They do sell good parts, my dash panels were an excellt piece of work! With the exception of the rear defog bezel, the hooks on the backside were too narrow and a little flimsy. Solved by heating it gently. I complained about this but never got a reply however...
I bought all new upholstery to my '68 Charger from Legendary. It was a perfect fit, not the cheapest perhaps, but totally worth every $. Considering all the work involved I definitely would recommend to buy known quality stuff... Hate to put down weeks of work and get a questionable result due...
I have a question about the wires and guides on my bucket seat tracks on my '68 Charger. Last winter I made a full resto on my bucket seats and back seat. Everything has been cleaned, powder coated and new upholstery from Legendary has been installed. Looks really nice. But here's my issue...
Interested in your Charger headliner side rails bow... Someone decided to drill a lot of extra holes in my bows, probably they didn't get the idea with the clips.
$50 is fine for me however the real problem is the shipping since I live overseas. USPS is the only reasonable option but these bows...
Looking for the broadcast sheet for my 1968 Charger R/T. VIN is XS29L8B309861. Car is silver, stripe delete, black interior, column shift, no roof vinyl. I have the fender tag and SPD is March 8 1968.
I don't know the history for this Charger, so if someone recognize the VIN (previous owners)...
Thanks everyone for the hints about repops. However, prefer an original vacuum can. Still looking... It's for my 1968 Charger, guess it's the same vacuum canister for all 68-70.
