Same set up. My pedal pressure improved by lengthening the Booster to MC rod about a 1/4 inch. Use a 5/16 wrench and a 6mm socket. Eventually I wound it all the way out. I also adjusted the rear shoes and that helped too.

I adjusted out the rears and the pedal height is better. Took a test drive and fronts grab ok but lower than I like. Was good to get a few miles under its belt and finally off the lift. I have a set of calipers coming today as well

Mushy Pedal and slow action to grab 383-4 Car originally with P Drum Brakes- Swapped over to Pirate Jack Bendix knock off Booster with 1.125 Disc MC also use a new 2 piece 70 Proportioning valve set up. Rear Drums 10.5 x 2 all new. Pedal is real mushy and long travel without booster response...

Please post a pic of OE Fasteners that secure the fiberglass "Kick Plate" of cover plate at bottom of AC/Heater box. This plate covers the vacuum pods. I dont recall removing them but its time to finish the interior. Thanks in Advance.
