This, because you need the support and seal for the bolt and tube eyelet. Then another seal for the spacer and carb.
Wouldn't be too difficult to make with a lathe, tap and die (of the size and thread required). 360brass would be easier than stainless.
If I were close I'd give it a shot but...
Look around your area for a 'Hobby Metal Workers & Machinist' club. A member may take it on as a challenge.

I believe there are a few (hobby?) machinists on here on FBBO as well. Try calling them out here and see if any...
yes they should but the only backside of the flange pictured is one head ground off.
@YY1 I was thinking a previous owner repair possibly. Ya never know (most of the time) what has happened over the last 50 years of a vehicles life when previous owners have had it. :)
Although likely not the case but looking at your pictures, it almost looked like these may be screw in type. I have no experience with the screw in type but this pic almost looked like they are thread into the flange.
I'm kinda confused on your plan to drop the battery in case of fire. These LiFePO batteries (like others) need to be wired in so even if you wanted to drop them out in the case of a fire, the wiring itself will not allow that to happen effectively.
Sorry went back and read that you'd use some...
When I had my 74, It had the trunk release and the release button where you described. I just thought the previous owner installed it.
I no longer have the car so can't take pics, sorry
Keep in mind the only pictures of the rear of the /6 I could find were for the old 61 aluminum blocks so I cant be absolutely positive there is not a frost plug on the steel cast blocks.
well I could not find a pic of the rear of the slant six, here is a pic of the front.
as you can see the cam sprocket, you should be able to easily locate the rear plug.
hope that helps
When changing to the earlier (and less) expensive tank, have you decided on how to handle the vapor/fuel separator (which has a checkball valve in it?
(not my picture)
Thank you! I can picture it now, much appreciated.
I only have a couple years (when I was young) working with these machines. At the time I turned down an apprenticeship (big mistake)
I've re-found my interest and enjoyment as a (again green) hobbyist as I head into retirement mode lol
I am...
yes, My last pair for resplining went to the machine shop to be done.
I am planning on (hopefully sooner than later) getting a fixture for the lathe so I can do some basic milling. Would love a milling machine but just don't have the room very unfortunately.
I am curious about the tool he...
Did you do the resplining on a lathe or mill or a shaper? Looks like a lathe tool possibly but cant picture how I'd do it on my lathe?
I don't have access to a shaper or horizontal mill unfortunately...
