The Carb. is an Edelbrock 1013 800CFM and the drop base is a standard Holley or Edelbrock one, I do not remember now. I think it drops it down 1 1/2 to 2 inches.

No rubbing issues with mine, I do have a drop down base which cuts down on side breathing, but since the Air cleaner breathes from the top and sides I am not concerned with it. See pics.
Mine goes up smooth but it does sort of wants to slam down but never hits the top of the windshield panel, I am so used to it I just put my hand up and catch it helping it ease down. I can live with it.
