Another cheaper alternative is to add a return line bung to the tank. But you still have to run a return line. Here is the product link. I thought about this too but went with the holley in tank.

I installed the same thing on my friends GTX.. So much quieter than the pump and filter pack that comes with the master kit. And the best part was no return line.
If you use the Holley Sniper in tank pump you can dead head the system with no return line.

I just installed but have not finished a Sniper 2 on my friends GTX he had the original sniper which had a few issues.. But the new Holley Sniper fired right up and sorted itself out pretty quickly. I still have to clean up his mess of wiring from the Vintage Air, Vacuum pump and electric...

I hope it helps. If you contact Holley I think they will send you another for free. However The Road Runner Sniper was out of warranty so I sourced another brand with the same connections. I think it was a Bosch
The one in the roadrunner was fine and suddenly stopped working so the efi started dumping fuel thinking it was a lean condition. Replaced it with another 02 sensor I bought by cross referencing the Holley part number. It has been fine since installing that sensor. As for updating the software...
Glad you got it figured out. Worst issues I have had with Holley Snipers were the O2 Sensors would just randomly crap out. And then the Sniper would add fuel thinking the engine was running a lean condition. The Sniper would then dump fuel to combat the lean condition. Replaced 2 O2 sensors 2...
I have a cam out in the shed that had 2 fuel pump push rods ate up on and the cam pushrod lobe was fine. No problems with the cam. The problem was the pushrod. 2 of them and one was Comp and the other I believe was Hughes.
Not sure what intake that is but yes make a block off plate and get rid of the EGR. Its not needed. Spread bore to square bore adapter plate yup looks like you have most of it figured out.
