When I looked into shipping drums $85 FedEx ground was the best price I could find. That was drums hubs only. Backing plates probably adds $10, or more. There is a freight shipper a guy I work with uses to ship Porsche transmissions. I can ask tomorrow the details.

Well, it's been my experience that any travel less than 1,000 miles it is always better to drive. With erratic airline reliability, the TSA, delays, etc it is even sometimes faster to drive. The ground rules are CASH $100 bills only, and the car must vacate that day. No cooperation whatsoever...

Yes, it is worth the 6, or 7 hour drive to check it out. The seller has some strict ground rules that might make getting the car difficult as transport might be the issue. I'm contemplating.
