The 528 is a great cam despite manifolds. It will run better with headers. Isn't Comp Cams still making retro Mopar Performance inspired cams? For awhile, they made revised versions with wider lobe centers for similar power with better street manners.

The axle probably has a 2.71 ratio, not 2.73. No Mopars came with the 2.73, some Chevrolets did though.

The "318" crank I have looks forged to me. I didn't notice if the journals were drilled. I'm in for the night but will try to have an answer by noon tomorrow. I have a couple early appointments to deal with. (Non sexual)

It is. I suspect that there are parts stashes all over yet to be discovered. I have 3 LA cranks. I'll need your help identifying them. I can't tell the difference between 273-318-340 cranks. Forged cranks have no numbers on them, right?

The 1973 and later B body spindle/knuckle is different. Those are the same as the Volare/Aspen/Diplomat/Gran Fury/5th Avenue units. The 1972 and older are not the same.

I have a few spares pulled from 70s era Chryslers. They are functionally identical but not the exact same as a Charger. They all need to be gone through.

You can make that with some 20 gauge sheet metal. Tin snips and a drill is all you need.
