I had to grind away relief to clear the battery tray and clear the inner fender pinch area. Also, factory shroud holes didn't align and required redrilling.
I noticed on the ECP web store they now have drawings for the radiator, so you can match these dimensions to what you have in your...
Keep in mind the ECP may require modifications for fitment. It's a good performing product, but unless you have some fab skills it's not plug and play.
I am observing on days that are >100F degrees with my Vintage Air on and idling in drive at long traffic lights the coolant climbs to 205F QUICKLY! Shifting to Neutral will drop it to 200F. Driving/moving I stay around 190F.
My set up is a Modine aftermarket factory style radiator, shroud, and...
Went to two car shows today. Drove in 103F temperatures and the coronet AC blowing 44.7F out the two center vents. Long traffic lights and the coolant rises to 205, so I shift to neutral at known long traffic lights. Otherwise under 200 coolant temps.
Won 2nd place at a show that had mostly...
That occurred to me, too. That's why I asked if he is losing coolant. But with a blown head gasket I would suspect massive overheating on the temp gauge, etc.
Dorman part. From Summit. I think it's a Mitsubishi application.
Keep in mind having a coolant recovery keeps air out of the cooling system. No air reduces oxidation.
Interesting information. The tech line at vintage air told me to ignore everything but the low side pressure and the vent's temperature.
The rule of thumb he gave me was low side pressure between 12 and 20 and vent temperatures near 40F
I believe I have more than the recommended 1.8lbs of...
Yes the LA was used in first generation Charger. Start a email dialogue with vintage air. They assign a real person to your quote and he and only he guides you through the course and even makes certain tech people support you as needed.
My recommendation is after you get the initial quote start...
You are so fortunate Kern took on this job for you. This is a lot of work and let me tell you more than once I told myself when installing my vintage air I should have had a professional do it. I know I'm slow, and it took over 100 hours to install my kit.
I had quotes over $6,000 to install my...
Maybe apples and oranges, but drove my 2012 mustang today and realized it has one of the best AC systems of all of my cars; at least it feels that way. Small cabin area helps I guess.
Anyhow I had to check it's AC temps. Thermometer on the back porch was showing 86F. Max AC and fan at mid...

Bill,
44°F is great, this will provide a very comfortable cabin when in the heat of the summer.
Let me provide one small trick to squeeze a few more degrees
Directly below the blower motor you will see a small copper tube that goes into the evap. case. Grab the...
