You should pull the sender and check it at each stage in the range. All the way up half way and all the way down. Otherwise you are just guessing. How do you plan to lift the float to check the ohms?
Why do all of the AMC cars look like headlights were afterthoughts. Matadors and Pacers to be more specific.
Oops we forgot headlights. Ahh just pop something on there. Always thought they looked like Kermit the frog got his head stomped.
Was not a fan of the 70 Plymouth grill either but it grew on me. I don't mind it now. Don't get me wrong all of the years have their people who love them. So my opinion means nothing. Its just that, my opinion. So don't be offended. I'm also not a fan of 20 inch wheels on these cars but the 71...
The best description I ever heard of the 1971 Plymouth Satellite was it looked like a catfish kicked in the chin. Not a fan of them never was. I'd take a 1966 Charger over a 71,72,73 or 4 any day. But you just can't beat the 68 to 70 Charger body style. After 71 can you really call them muscle...
The old 5.2 will more than likely need to be torn down and inspected. It does have those lead things on the head so that they can tell if it was over heated. So I guess its possible the heads are atleast rebuilt at some point.
I have a 5.2 Magnum out in my shed. You can have it if you come get it. I know nothing about it. It was at my neighbors house when he moved out. I got it rather than let it go to scrap from the new owner. Perhaps its something to build a decent little stroker motor out of. And it bolts right up...
Just wait till the LS has lifter failure. Very common in LS engines. Once they tap they get sent to the junkyard. Oh wait, that's where you are getting your LS.. Never mind. Don't like the 8.1/4 rear end he'll stuff a ford 8.8 in it just because. With a TKO out of a mustang behind the 5.3 LS...
In fairness to the topic. The Cutlass already had a 4.8 LS engine in it. So I did nothing to the car other than swap in the 5.7 all aluminum engine and add the Sniper.
In the end none of us own your car and we can't make the decision for you. Thats on you, call these guys purists or whatever you want to call them but some of these cars they own are top notch and worth more than others. I guess what I'm trying to say is there is wisdom in the masses and most of...
Here is a post about an LS swapped Charger. You will get to read plenty of negative comments just from this post alone. So its your choice either way....
Here is a good idea for an engine swap. Find a Dodge Ram van with a 360 in it. And swap that into your car. They are cheap and plentiful...
I dont Red x either... But had to follow suit. Can you not just buy a wrecked Charger Cop car and swap out the guts. Why would you go to the limp wrist side of things? I mean if you are going all out to bastardize a car why not just stick a 2JZ Jap motor in it. :mob::mob::mob::mob::mob::mob...
The FSM has pictures... They do help you to understand what is what and where it goes.. You dont have to be able to read to look at a diagram. As they say a picture is worth a 1000 words.
I assume 74 has torsion bars, lower control arms, upper control arms, strut rod so any video you find related to a mopar front end assembly should be straight forward. Its all the same. Start with this manual. Its a 73 manual but should point you in the right direction. There may be a few things...
