I use this stuff. No primer needed and it's a epoxy. I painted my push mower engine with it and is still holding on great. 3 years so far so good and it is the right color. Not cheap, but what is these days? Oh by the way, battery tray is always body color. 10-4? Use a 2K (two part epoxy primer)...

Just a guess here George. But the long one is it not a support that bolts onto the transmission and the block right over around the starter??
