I saw an SRT 10 in the wild a few weeks back.
These were the fastest production trucks ever built. The 2 door manual trans truck was capable of 154 mph.
Part of that was the Aero package.
Most was due to the nearly 500 cubic inch V-10 from the Viper.
I want my truck to look like...
THAT Arizona guy with the orange Plymouth hasn’t been around in awhile.
I’m done with that for now. I’m onto prepping the SRT-10 panels for my truck. Prep. Prime. Paint and clear.
I’m going to replace the front bumper cover too.
I've seen people cover every inch of their interior with this stuff, I even did it myself.
THEN I've read that it isn't necessary to cover everything. The point of this stuff is to add density to absorb or deflect noise. The steel panels can vibrate and create a harmonic situation where what...
For the red car, I used spray adhesive to apply Jute to one side, then put additional sound deadener matting on the other side. What started as a 2 lb piece of cardboard is now maybe triple that!
My Jigsaw '70 Charger was slowly getting parted out when I bought it. Many parts were missing but the rear seat was still in place. I pulled it to weld in a new AMD trunk floor. The cardboard divider was still in place when I pulled the rear seat out.
I may use it as a pattern to make...
I'll bet that one could be adapted but I've never seen the hood latch for one. You could use a cable and interior knob/lever from another model but the '70 Charger latch and release are unique. You'd have to weld a loop to the latch for the cable.
I’m like the guy that has never had a virgin. Every car that I have owned had many previous owners so I am not sure if what is original in some instances.
Thanks. I see the merit in terms of crash-worthiness but….if they are wedged between the floor pan and seat brackets, where would they go? The car has been without these supports for many years already. The seat belts are anchored to the floor so any wreck would hold everything in place, right?
I may attach these with a panel bond adhesive. Welding works too but the panel bond puts out no sparks. From
What I’ve heard, this stuff is pretty strong. Besides, the seats will keep the supports in place. The owner of the Plymouth isn’t fat so the unsupported floor hasn’t buckled yet.
Thank you! Knowing that they are attached inside may be all I need.
The car has bucket seats now. Maybe I can just lay them down where the seat mounting holes line up.
