I bought Martin hammers...top quality not too pricey.
I also have several used ones I bought for pennies on eBay, Marketplace and Craig's list. Can't beat the price or quality of good, used US hammers.
Those door companies have put the fear of God in many.... I did my own garage door nearly 30 years ago...before you tube. Just asked a couple pros and followed their directions.
No issues here...
Mohawk is one of the best lifts period.
I bought a used 1970's era 9K Weaver back in 1995. $1800.
Disassembled it with some help... Same with reassembly. Never had instructions.
My Weaver is built from one and 1 1/2" steel. 4" hydraulic rams and leaf chain . It installed on 4" of six bag mix...
My machine is about 2' x 18".....maybe 8" deep. My first one worked good but it was too small .
I have used Purple Power, Simple Green, Jungle Jack, vinegar, Dawn, etc.
They all have their good points.

My brother has been in the high end resto biz since the 80's.
He's 86 and came out of retirement a few years ago. He has two hired guns. Does vintage Jaguars...
I built my own ages ago from a length of threaded rod and some custom diameter slugs to push the bearings into place.
I like the smooth operation of the threads rather than the hammer blows. Every factory service tool I used in the past was threaded with nuts and washers....GM, Ford and Mopar.
All my newer cordless stuff is from Lowes...
I had Milwaukee tools for years but so did my friends and kids and my stuff disappeared too often.
Now nobody steals my stuff and I like the Lowes tools.
I bought a used 9k two post in 1996..its a Weaver. 1" thick steel....3" hyd cylinders. Leaf chain and roller chains... no wimpy cables.
$1800.
Weighs about 900#'s.
I have had my F350 dually on it...and my E350 loaded with 3000#'s of steel castings..
It sits on 4" of 6 bag mix concrete with...
I have a 70's vintage Weaver twin post. Been in my shop since '94. Bullet proof. Fabricated from 3/4" and 1" thick steel. 4" diameter rams and HD leaf chain.
Mohawks are tuff, too.
