Go up to your name on the upper right. Hover your pointer on it a menu will pop up. Move your pointer down to likes you received and click it. It will list all of the wonderful people that agree with you and your posting.

My wife has a second generation Ipad she too is complaining about it being super slow. Maybe its Apple trying to sell you a new IPad and they are slowing the older models. I think they did the same to older Iphones. Like the 4 and 5

Try resetting your modem. I know it sounds stupid but it may help. I get slow internet some times. Ireset my modem/router and bingo it helps. Oh forgot to add.. Are you WIFI or cat5 connected? That may make a difference too. My computer is Cat5 hooked up. I havent tried WiFI.. Let me check it...
Doesnt seem to be a problem with Chrome.. Not saying it isnt an issue but could be a browser problem. What browser do you use? Can you try another browser? Just to see if its an issue with just your current browser.
