    1973 Coronet "2 door"

I was thinking that the cowl and hinge locations may be similar as Charger, etc. Using the a Charger/Satty Sebring door shell and striker jamb might be a good start and then fab from there. Hopefully the door glass might even align with the A pillar. Someone with some junk in their yard needs to...

    1973 Coronet "2 door"

A ton of work, but certainly doable. I'd start by seeing how far the parts from a Charger, Roadrunner, or Satty Sebring parts car could help... so perhaps a hardtop?

    Retro then and now.

That is the first time I have ever seen a 72 RR in light blue. Congrats on your new ride.

1972 Charger 440 Magnum emblems on front fenders?

The info I have says that there were 755 1972 SE Chargers made with the 440. Since the SE comes with the flat hood, there is no place to put the engine call outs on the hood and they placed them on the fenders.

    Smokey burnouts..

Yes, and yes. Also timing and a myriad of other things to check and sort out as mentioned here by others. There are some good basic tune and diagnostic video's on Youtube including finding and stopping vacuum leaks that can get you started.

    Smokey burnouts..

Your description of the current idle problem and the fact that you cannot spin a single tire suggests that tuning and/or repair is necessary before anything else. First step - tune/repair and get one wheel to spin. Next step, after you get some power on hand, any axle upgrade should involve...

    Smokey burnouts..

Chrysler put the 8-1/4 behind the 383 2bbl in earlier year cars, so I would not be surprised if the 8-1/4 in your car is original equipment assuming it is a car coded for 2bbl 400. A 4bbl car would have originally had an 8-3/4 axle. The good news is that you should be able to spin a tire with a...

1973 Sebring “plus?” Need help determining if I should sell this or restore it? Value as is?

I fail to see how getting a free classic car worth a couple Gs is "getting screwed"? I'd love to have this car for free! Sorry about the 68 and your relationship with your dad, ....that sux. I would say 24 years later that it is time to move on. So.... If you don't love the 73, clean it up...

    73 Roadrunner - BB 4speed swap

YY1 covered it all well. The only fab here is the motor mounts, and that depends on what you use for that. I have put RB and B engines into 73-74 318 cars a couple of times. It's a pretty easy swap. The only thing I would do different if I did it again is to cut and plate the small block K frame...

    1971-1974 Charger Parts

Use original stuff as much as possible, even if you need to refurbish it. Resist the urge to whole-heartedly replace stuff using the YearOne, Classic Industries, etc. catalogs. So much repro stuff is not great quality or exact to original fit and appearance. Of course, some repro stuff you just...

    LS swap ?

I don't think that you have factored into your "allot cheaper" budget that you will severely devalue your car in doing this. 73 B Plymouths are not the most sought after Mopar to start with...... Toss an LS in it and the buyer pool pretty much goes to zero. Put a 5.7 in it, you achieve your...

    Thinking of buying a roadrunner

That is actually a fairly rare car. I would consider leaving it an automatic and not modifying it too far from stock if you want to retain its maximum value (none of the original 440 GTX's 73-74 were equipped with 4 speeds). For $3k, as long as it is not a rust bucket, you can't go wrong buying...

    1971 Charger unidentified hole

The best I can tell from the blurry pic is that we are looking inside at the firewall, below the column and brake booster, and the hole in question is on the left side of the floor pan below the seam. Correct? If not the highbeam switch, it must be for the machine gun activator.

I want to try worn out front shocks on my 73

Competition Engineering makes an adjustable front drag shock for under $75. It appears to be for 72 and earlier, so you'd have to add spacers or sleeve the lower bushing to fit 73 perhaps. The joy of finding parts for 73 and up B bodies.

I want to try worn out front shocks on my 73

Adjustable / drag shocks are quite reasonable $ brand new and will give you the pressure needed for controlled down settlement.

    1974 Roadrunner GTX 440 Value

79 was from The Chrysler Red Book I believe. Of course it would not be the first time printed numbers were wrong, but this does seem believable comparable to Rallye Charger 440 production numbers (208 or 213?) when you consider overall Charger production was higher than RR in 1974. At any...

    1974 Roadrunner GTX 440 Value

The 73-74 cars are a harder to value and sell than earlier cars. Bonus here is that the 74 GTX is very low production... (79 units comes to mind, but don't quote me). The car looks very presentable and it would be a bonus if you could show it had the original engine. Another bonus if that is...
