I am ordering a TTI exhaust system for my 1969 Super Bee. It will be 2-1/2” without headers. I cannot read the passenger side manifold numbers. I believe it is 2806900 but that is a best guess. Any eagle eyes on this site?
I have long tube headers, high flow cats and a full exhaust system from Stainless Works on my Jeep SRT. It sounds nasty and mean.

I also have Dynomax Super Turbos on my R/T for the last six years without any problems. I am considering changing them out for their Ultra Flows in the spring.
I agree with lewtot184. I have TTI 3" exhaust and I am sure a smaller diameter would not not hurt performance. It does sound nice with the Dynomax mufflers although I am not sure if a smaller diameter would change the timbre.
No clearance problems on my little 'A' body, but I do sweat buckets in it even in Pittsburghs mild summers. There was a product that you could paint on metal for a heat shield and supposedly it made the interior 30 degrees cooler......seems like a sales pitch. It was on the show that airs...
I have TT headers with a 3" X-pipe on my Stroked 340 to a 416 in my 1971 Demon. The heads are ported so that the exhaust can be dumped faster, so I imagine 3" would lessen scavenging.
