Trunk mounted batteries only came in a few cars...I know that the A990 cars had these...I,m sure your car did not...My car had the same..It was used as a drag car in the late 70,s and early 90.s...Check out this guy for a kit to properly mount the battery in the trunk..www.madelectrical.com...

Sealed batteries are better...I like to use optima or equalivent battery...Interstate has a good one too...The ones that are not sealed are usually rebuilt in good ole mexico...They only last a couple of years...You get what you pay for!!!!Sams club has optima at a good price.. Petty Blue 67 gTx

I have my alternator wire hooked to the terminal block on the firewall..My power to my dash is also at the terminal block...You need to check to see how much voltage the alternator is putting out... Petty Blue 67 gTx
