The stock scoop was not very tall as the 3" scoop would be about the same as the stock scoop. Many places now make taller versions of the 66 & 67 Hemi scoop and the 63 & 64 Max Wedge scoop and the 64 & 65 Hemi scoops. And I believe some places even make a taller version of the 68 Hemi scoop...
Thats a very good price. I bought mine around 2008 and I believe my employee price at that time was about $218 total for both including tax. Course we did not have them in stock. Mancini gave me the same price and they came with rear shackles and bushings so it was a better deal for me. And...
Wow sounds like a few got up on the wrong side of the bed today. Lets just try and help the guy.
Let me ask if I may and that is how fast do you plan for this car to be ? And are you just going to that big a tire for the look ? I only ask because as was said you can go pretty fast on 9"...
I dont have a 66 as my car is a 63 Sport Fury but I thought this may help you. I run 3" exh and the stock gas tank. Does your car have 2 tank straps or one like my 63 ? Ron
Here is what I would consider if I were you. Change the cam and the intake and carb and then drive it. I use the Indy dual plane with a Holley 850 DP. Do you know if the eng was built with good quench so that hopefully you can run pump gas because at 10.5 comp and aluminum heads with the right...
Basically you need to raise the throttle pressure some which means you need to shorten the cable a bit. From where you are at I would not even worry about any instructions as I would just shorten the trans throttle pressure (kickdown) cable a little and see how it reacts as it should raise the...
I believe most of them on the Nostalgic race cars are painted as they just paint the cars headlights that they want colored. As for what color to me it depends on the color of the car as I have seen them in blue , red , yellow , green and orange. I am sure they have even more colors. I...
Tim what these guys are saying is that the scoop that "Mattsmopars" posted is the one the factory put on the 66 & 67 Coronets and GTX's and most of us Mopar people agree we think it looks best on that car like yours. Now sure you can buy a 6 pack scoop and have it put on your hood as I did that...
Look in another post in this section that says..........Here it is the 67 R/T...I appreciaate all input on this. Look at the scoop on that purple 67 Coronet as thats the 67 Superstock hood that looks geat on the 66 & 67 Coronets and GTX's. Ron
On my 63 I bought a used manual steering box and used the part here from Firm Feel since the manual box is shorter and a manual steering shaft is longer. So this adapter takes up the room the longer shaft does and with the manual box and this adapter to take up the extra 2 to 3 inches its a...
Full 3" exh on my 63 with the tail pipes all the way to the rear bumber. Its all stock in the back as it has stock wheelwells and the springs are in the stock location. In this setup the 3" tailpipes fit on my 63 with room to spare (but not alot of room to spare).
They look sorta like these. Thse are on Mavericks 63 Dodge Max Wedge as if you look close behind the rear spring hanger you see this other hanger that is hooked to a bar going up to the rear housing. I was surprised to see this on Mavericks 63 Dodge Max Wedge car in this mag article from 1963...
