    Boris7k’s ‘69 Coronet project.

Nice Coronet. I really like the 500 trim and lower blackout. See the dreaded intake not fitting problem. On my decked 451 engine with B-1 B/S heads and M1 intake, I had to take 0.100" off both sides of the intake.

RestoMod Electrical Upgrades - Conversions to Newer Technologies

I don't know, but I'll watch this thread. Are you keeping the BCM for power locks, windows, security system?

Looking for advice on EFI systems for a 426 HEMI

I'm sticking with the IC Engines in my old cars, but open to electric as a new vehicle (Cybertruck?) Kevin Erickson's "Electrollite" 1972 Plymouth Satellite project is cool, and looks like real nice craftsmanship in the build. I need to keep an eye out for the car, looks like he lives fairly...

Looking for advice on EFI systems for a 426 HEMI

I was thinking of when I was running a carb. On the Charger it was a Holley HP 1,000 cfm (discontinued model), and I added the quick change fuel bowls (about $100 on top of the carb price, which was over $600 20 years ago, around $800+ today, and rear jet extensions. I wanted a wide band O2...

Looking for advice on EFI systems for a 426 HEMI

If just racing carb should be quicker. EFI is great driving on the street. If starting from scratch where you need an entire fuel system and ignition system, then the efi cost won't be as bad compared to using much of the original fuel and ignition systems.

    1971 Charger Gen 3 Hemi Swap/Build Plan

I haven't seen a 8HP70, but the NAG1 is not a huge transmission. Not a big deal if you don't mind modifying the floor and crossmember, but I don't think it is a bolt-in type swap with the overdrive transmissions. I have a 6.1L with Nag1 for a swap. Bought a factory type shifter, and throttle...

    1971 Charger Gen 3 Hemi Swap/Build Plan

Holley has been doing quite a bit to help with these swaps: https://www.holley.com/products/engine_swap_parts/hemi_swap_systems/ I think the Gen 3 Swaps are good value for what you gain. It is expensive to convert an older engine to EFI, serpentine drive with high output alternator, and modern...

    Hotchkis v Calvert leaf springs

Take your original springs to a spring shop and have them add a neat full length spring between the main spring and the other leafs to increase the spring rate and stiffen the front part of the spring. Then add a rear sway bar.

    FiTech Issues

I would start tuning without PCV hooked up, Distrubitor vacuum advance connected to manifold vacuum (not ported), and a fuel pressure gauge on the inlet fuel line to make sure there is no issue with fuel pressure. Let the engine come up to operating temperature, and set the desired idle RPM, at...

Anyone running EFI on a 512 stroker?

On EFI with Ignition control, you also get more control over the ignition curve. With sequential port injection like the the XT is able to do, you can also trim the fuel for each cylinder although you would need a way to monitor each cylinders exhaust (Temperature or O2 sensor.) With the XT TPI...

Anyone running EFI on a 512 stroker?

Speaking of the fitech, i have the 1200PA on the '71 Charger and I really like it. Intake is the Indy 400-2 (4150 flange) single plane intake. Much improved driveability and cold starts. I put that on before Holley had the Sniper on the market. I wish FiTech had offered a higher flow throttle...

Anyone running EFI on a 512 stroker?

The 505 (think 512 440 with only a 0.030" overbore) in the Coronet has what was originally the Edelbrock XT Port EFI, but the controller and narrowband O2 were not that good, so it is being changed to use the FAST 2.0 Controller. The sequential port injection can get expensive and more...

    Fan(s) recommendations...3 inch depth max.

I was going to mention the Dakota Digital controller, but sounds like you got it already. I have 2 Be-Cool 13" cooling fans, medium profile, about 2.48" thick. Rated at 1250 cfm each.

    Relay location

I found these relay boards handy too. Only 10 AMP relays, but the 4-relay and 8-relay boards work nice for inverting input signals. The SPDT Relays can be activated on a selectable high or low input signal...

    fuel questions

The Spectra tank has a Walbro pump, I think 225 LPH or 59.43 GPH. It could be a 255 lph, I would have to check the archives from when I got my fuel tank. Most of those pumps will go 90+ PSI, but the current draw really increases. Regulator will regulate pressure to that ever it is set at.

    Relay location

The Solid state relays are more expensive, but should not be affected by High G-Force vibration like tire shake. The regular type relays are less expensive. Here is a link to the Picker 35 Amp relay specifications used in the Bussman Box: https://www.pickercomponents.com/pdf/Relays/PC785.pdf...

    Relay location

Car has Sniper EFI. The EFI monitors the temperature and controls the fans, A/C clutch (no A/C yet.) The horn switch wire connects to ground at the steering wheel. That is why the horns have the relay next to them, but we just used the relay in the relay box and removed the relay mounted near...

    Relay location

Forgot to mention, We used the version like the one in the Amazon link which has two busses, one for the fuses and one for one side of the relay coils. I modified the relay coil side bus, cut the bus so the upper two relay bus part is grounded, and the lower three relays on the bus are powered...
