    69 RR Trunk Gutter #'s

I think 69 they started stamping the last digits of the vin, 68 was the shipping order number. It could have been replaced with a OEM piece from a donor car. I could be wrong but I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am. This place has a lot of knowledgeable guys that will set the record straight.

    $25k vs $50k buy?

Chargers are movie stars. What well know movie that busted box offices had a GTX as the hero car? I can't remember one but my memory isn't what it once was.... The window for finding a decent priced RT Charger has passed. Now, any older model that's a MoPar (regardless of make or model), to some...

    Six Pack Idle help!!

Had the problem before, 440-6 Challenger, freshly gone thru carbs. Could never get it to idle worth a damn no matter what I did. The problem was the throttle shafts / bores were worn out. Reworked the throttle plates with bushings and problem solved. Tri power setups were always a PIA back when...

    neutral safety switch. 70 roadrunner.

Check the plug connection first both at the trans and bulkhead, if it's all gunked up from oil and crap clean it up with some brake clean then make sure to squeeze some dielectric grease on the pins. Make sure the connection is clean and tight before you start pulling and draining stuff. Work...

    1968 Coronet with a wing.......

**** wings on cars that weren't born with them, spoilers are the **** if your gonna hang a do-dad on your ***. Besides wings don't have any benefit until your running Mach3 with your freakin hair on fire....or collect pigeon poop IMO. Some B bods would look pretty cool with a ducktail instead...

Looking for recommendation of stainless steel restoration, polishing and repair

:thumbsup:Dadsbee is giving great advice. It’s not difficult, patience is a virtue. Get comfortable on a bench with some good lighting, adult beverage optional, some music and just put your hands on it. Watch some vids online and develop something that works for you. Eastwood’s has some pretty...

    69 Road runner project WIW

I'm with chargervert, cash speaks volumes. Go there with a stack of Hondo's start low ($1000 - $1500) and work the deal from there. I agree with most here, if you can do most of the work yourself the savings is huge. Do a careful check around the known problem areas (northeastern car). If you...

    1968 Dodge Charger R/T

If its a real XS29 car, 20 grand is a drop in the bucket for a complete second gen RT car with or without a fender tag, non number car that runs and drives and doesn't resemble a Flintstonemobile. You should look closer at the typical rust areas these cars are known for. I agree with Car#4 it...
