Man sounds like a beast you got there. EFI advice.. go multi-point sequential fuel injection instead of TBI, better fuel distribution for each cylinder, tunability... my 2 cents. It is more work regarding fuel delivery system but worth it.

Good luck brother, it does have a big time WOW factor but probably is as much a pain to tune as a factory setup... but if you have experience tuning a six pac then it should be a walk in the park :thumbsup:

The suggestions above have merit. Those AFB's are great carbs it's just the fuel bowels are a tad on the small side, thirsty BB can suck one dry in no time. Sounds like fuel starvation during WOT, maybe upgrade to a HV mechanical or electric pump/regulator set up to keep up with demand. Check...
