I purchased a Durango with a rod knock. When I pulled the 5.2 engine out to rebuild, with 130K miles on it, I found all rod bearings were worn down to the copper. I rebuilt a 5.9 out of a Ram 1500 with about 110k miles on it and found all rod bearings were worn down to the copper just showing...
Made in China rubber only lasts about a year. I give parts like that the sniff test. If it smells like walking into Harbor Freight store you know it has garbage China rubber. The rubber deteriorates too fast.

Those peal and stick thermostat gaskets are crap. The adhesive side of gasket separates and leaks. I use the Felpro gasket with a little bit of Permatex sealer.
