Do you have the right clips installed along the bottom? There is two very different styles for the front windshield. The sides & upper are the same ,the bottom is a different style & the lower outer ends will need the proper retainers.

Most likely those are shouldered bolts and not easy to find at a hardware store. Not saying you can't fix it. You could always heli-coil the holes to the right thread, but the bigger question is why? If you manufacture a 'stock' replacement wheel, it should have 'stock' size threaded holes. The...
