Front and rear 70 charger window clip placement

I just replaced the roof and Dutchman panel on my 70 dodge charger. I pulled out the glass and need to install the window clips in the front and rear windshields. Does anyone have the dimensions of where they should be placed? Pictures? Thank you

1970 Dodge Charger roof skin replacement

It is off... I'm still surprised that me and my dad were able to get it off with basic hand tools and never doing it before. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and all the threads which showed me how to do it.

1970 Dodge Charger roof skin replacement

Finished the spotwelds and melted the lead with a propane torch. It came off very easily and I also used a wire brush. Now, I need to remove the remaining spotwelds and then separate the roof from the inner structure. Almost there!

Also, any advice on the easiest way to melt/remove the lead from the factory on both sides? This was not an original vinyl top car.

1970 Dodge Charger roof skin replacement

So the headliner is out so I could see a little more. I still have to do the spot welds at the front and rear of the windows but almost there. Does anyone know what is holding the roof to the inner structure that goes across the roof? Is it epoxied on or are there more spotwelds that I have to...

I also am replacing the dutchman panel. To anyone who has replaced one on a 68-70 Dodge Charger, Should I replace the roof first or the...

1970 Dodge Charger roof skin replacement

Well, after getting some estimates, I just cant afford to pay a shop to replace the roof and deck panel on my 70 Dodge Charger. The next best thing is me taking my best shot at it. I have welded in a floor before so I am not completely new to patch panels or welding...just never a roof. To...

    Roof Skin Replacement Estimate

Bandit67, Gran, exactly. If I screw up at least I'm only losing out on parts, and spot weld bits.

    Roof Skin Replacement Estimate

Thanks for the reply, I was planning on putting a vinyl top back on the car. I have gotten a few quotes in the 6000-8000 range. I have seen a few members do the work themselves and in the past I have done a floor pan replacement. A floor isn't a roof but think I am going to take my time and do...

    Roof Skin Replacement Estimate

Yes, entire interior is out and I haven't removed the headliner. What is pictured in the photo is the worst. AMD sells just the skin.

    Roof Skin Replacement Estimate

I just pulled the vinyl top off my 70 Charger and like most, it looks like a roof skin is needed. I have never owned a car that needed this amount of rust repair and am clueless to what would be a fair price from a shop. AMD sells the skin for $700. I would pull the trim and leave it up to the...
