I'm thinking just the stripes on the trunk lined up with the taillights. I think the bulge stripe is enough on the hood.
In regards to never seeing a vinyl top with stripes, several of those rare striped 72s had at least half tops.
Has anyone put the 72RR N96 deck stripes on a 73-74? My 73satellite has a black vinyl top and I'm thinking with a striped bulge hood the rear deck stripes may go well. Thoughts?
How'd they know they'd cause rust within a year?:icon_winkle: I remember back in the late 80s in high school my 73 RR became a chipper shredder when I zipped to 100mph. The floorboard filled with leaves.
I sold a 73 RR hood this past weekend. I kept the 74 hood to put on my 73 Sat later. It...
Not much is out there from a reproduction sheetmetal standpoint. A few patches is about all you can find. If you are patient usually fenders etc will pop up for sale. Unfortunately if there is much rail damage I probably would pass unless you have a parts car.
My first car which had been my dad's was a 73 RR that he bought in 73. It was a 340 car in B5 with a full white top and interior and magnum 500s. It had the metal emblems and a standing bird on the side under the vinyl trim. What was cool about it was it had a narrow white pinstripe painted...
No doubt 12k may be stretching it on the blue car but it appears very straight, solid, and original for the most part. I wouldn't use that red car as a benchmark either. While that red one looks solid obviously many liberties were take that devalue that car. You can see dings in trim as well...
I imagine something in the 295/305/315 width range would look great on these big b bodies. The issue I was seeing was the lack of height. I have yet to find many pics of larger rims on the 71-74s.
Looks like a nice car. Unless you are just hung up on the mileage I wouldn't worry too much. Personally I bet it is 122,000. My main concern would be the body. Make sure it is solid and not bondo. As stated some of the stickers may be wrong. The one just below the vinyl would have been a...
I have been cleaning out my shop and decided to mockup a 315/35/17 I had lying around. The tire is setup approximately 1/2" from springs. These pics are from my phone.
255/60/15 versus 315/35/17
As you can tell the wheel well is large enough no tubbing necessary. I'd prefer...
Here ya go. I got it out of Arizona 6 years ago. The real little old lady car. 318 on the column, am radio, a/c. 1 repaint. It had oil receipts/services in the glove compartment. Originally had 14" wheels and hubcaps. I put the rallys on. Supposedly it is the original muffler under the...
Has anyone put a new hemi in a 73-74 bbody? I have not found a build up online. Only parts list I see is from plumfloored.com and its $5000 without the engine or trans. There should be a little cheaper alternative.
A stock hemi setup would be nice. What would be the easiest overdrive trans...
Not a Charger but here are 15x7 all around with 235/60 and 255/60. I had these rally's sitting around awaiting a never ending Cuda project. If I had to choose new wheels for the 73 I'd go with 15x10 rear and 15x8 front in a convo pro. If you go rallys and want the same on front and rear go 15x8.
