    I cleaned out the carb with some cleaner and it's ok now starts with 2 pumps :)

    I know it sounds like a flooded carb but It will not start any other way lol I started out with 1-2 pumps then cranking it over but it won't start no matter how long I crank it.So I worked my way up 3-4 then 5-6 all the way up to 10 pumps and it starts this way every time haha.

    Hey guys,I was goofing around with my 74 Charger (1970 440 hp) today. I changed the distributor and added new plugs and I also used a new "hot" coil to get it running well enough to move around when needed.Any way I just wanted to know what would cause the car to need 10 pumps of the fuel pedal...
