Its the last minute thrash to do this again 10/10/2020. My Super Bee, the Satellite, and GTX are all players and have been massaged over the year. Sadly my brothers Coronet R/T will have to sit this one out (block cracked above starter) But the rest of us will Dyno, Weigh, and Race! I know my...
This one cleans house everytime I have a gathering.... need some Mopars to come in and help take him down. He's a friend of the Butler Performance guys in TN, so it works well.... really well. Come help us 10/10/2020 for the #MoparVsBrandXstreetcarShowdown in Danville, AL @ Jakes Dragstrip
Oh I have.... Save your money and rebuild a factory unit. I had one in my Duster for a commercial I had the pleasure of putting my car in (link below) I had a full Yukon setup 3.73 gears / axles the whole 9. The car would plant one tire and free spin the other like a worn out POS during donuts...
We are getting prepared to get these cars together again in Rockingham, NC April 18th for "Mopars at the Rock". Looks like 3 of the 4 B-bodies should be there, we are all sprawled out Alabama/Florida/South Carolina/ & Virginia. Each car has had a few changes but nothing too wild mostly...
Before I put the car in the track I put it on the mobile dyno, the first one I started from 2500rpm it flashed the converter pretty good so the torque number might be alittle misleading on the first pull but, the car was solid in the day. Happy with the power my 383 put down and the 1/8 mile...
It's crunch time and all of these cars are fighting back.... charging problems started on 2 of them, starter killed over in my Super Bee, the Coronet went on its maiden voyage yesterday which came with a couple hiccups, the Sport Satellite converter was no where near enough, so that just got...
That’s the good part, this is gonna be done at the track on the dyno he has a scale system so, we should get some good data out of the experiment. Seeing as how we plan to run these down the 1/8th all day should get a good idea if nothing else... food for thought.
I was wrong about my brothers Coronet R/T it has a Torker intake and he just swapped in some header to boot. Here it is on the first start up today. Should sound great after a trip to the exhaust shop!
It is a Dynocom Dyno so it should read even alittle higher than a DynoJet. Ill try to get my Super Bee on a different kind later to make a comparison. A friends Duster with a 360 .030 with ported magnum heads, .530ish lift Hyd Roller with a 904 and 3.21s made 317hp and 376tq on this very dyno.
While I'm guessing... I might as well throw my 1/8th mile predictions out! I could be wildly off...but for the sake of argument here goes
** 69 Super Bee - 7.84 @ 87.7
** 67 GTX - 7.69 @ 89.2
** 70 Sport Satellite - 7.97 @ 88.3
** 69 Coronet R/T - 8.34 @ 84.1...
Muletown Mobile dyno has pledged their support for the #MoparVsBrandXstreetcarShowdown in Danville, AL. I'm going to strap my 383 in my Super Bee to it and hope for the best! Ill share some other combos I know are taking the rollers with the best info I remember about them, feel free to guess...
